The Functional Divisions of INIIT
INIIT is made up of four functional divisions.
- INIIT - research & development
This is the Research and Development Division of INIIT. This Division is involved in core research work as well as R&D activities within the collaborative framework provided by (FRIP)TM
- INIIT - consult
This is the Consultancy Division of INIIT. Most of INIIT's consultancy activities are carried out within this Division. A number of these activities are conducted within the collaboration framework of (FIPA)TM. INIIT in the past four years has built a strong international reputation in providing a 'leader-of-the-pack' consultancy work relating to specific ICT initiatives.
Some of the international agencies INIIT personnel have worked for as consultants in this area include: Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), European Union(EU), Africa Development Bank(ADB), International Development Research Center (IDRC), ICANN, Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO), Markle Foundation among others.
- INIIT - education, training & accreditation
This is the Education and Training Division of INIIT. The education and training activities of INIIT are administered by this Division. Some of these are carried out in collaboration with membership institutions and organizations under the auspices of the Framework for Institutional Partnership Arrangement (FIPA)TM.
- INIIT's International Research Faculty
INIIT have both resident and non-resident (virtual) international research faculty made up of researchers, academics, consultants and other professionals in relevant subject and focus areas of INIIT's activities. Members of the virtual faculty affiliate to INIIT and are globally based. Both the resident and virtual research faculty work under INIIT's supervision and meet INIIT's high research standard and quality of service to its client-base.
Management
Structure and Board of Trustees
INIIT is managed by a management team headed by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is also the President of the organization. Each Division of INIIT is headed by a Director. The President & CEO report to an international Board of Trustees.
