Membership of INIIT's Global Research Faculty
The INIIT Research Board meets twice a year to consider applications for membership of INIIT's International Research Faculty. There are four main grades:
Research Affiliate: This is the starting grade and is opened to those with Bachelors or Masters Degree and has been involve in research work.
Research Associate: [Assistant Professor Equivalent): This grade is opened to those with PhD and are involved in active research work, with a minimum post qualification experience of 3 years
Research Fellow [Associate Professor Equivalent]: This is the starting professorial grade and is opened to those with a minimum of five years research experience and has published reasonably extensively. Those accepted at this grade are entitled to use the designation [F.INIIT] against their name
Senior Research Fellow [Full University Professor equivalent]: The highest grade reserved for those who have achieved an international reputation for scholarship and a distinction in their academic and research work with a minimum of ten years post qualification experience. Candidates for this position are expected have achieved an international excellence in research publications. Those accepted at this grade are entitled to use the designation [F.INIIT] against their name.
Moving up to higher grades requires a minimum of one year after being elected to your current grade and the completion of relevant application form which you submit on-line together with your CV and list of publications since your last application. These will be evaluated by the INIIT Research Board whose decision will be communicated to you on-line. Requests for upgrading are considered by the Research Board annually.
Applying for Membership of INIIT's International Research Faculty
To become a member of the INIIT's Global Research Faculty, you must complete an online application, which must be submitted, with your CV including list of publications and areas of research interest. Three independent members of the INIIT Research Board will evaluate your application and decide of your entry grade. Applications are welcomed from candidates world-wide.
The Research Board's decision which is final will be communicated to successful applicants online and those admitted to the Senior Research Fellow and the Research Fellow grades will be entitled to used the designation F.INIIT. The short biography will also be published at the INIIT web-site.
